Modo Matcha is an on-site organic matcha bar for weddings across Los Angeles and Orange County. Every drink is whisked to order by trained matcharistas, served from a custom cart designed to match your wedding, and staffed from setup through breakdown. We recently poured at an oceanfront wedding at Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades.
How does a matcha bar work at a wedding?
The bar arrives turnkey and sets up wherever your day needs it, guest arrivals, cocktail hour, or late into the reception. Every drink is whisked to order in front of your guests, never batched, so the matcha is the moment, not just the beverage. Your team handles the day. We handle everything from setup to breakdown.
What makes a matcha bar different from a coffee or dessert station?
The whisk. A coffee station pours from an urn. We prepare each cup by hand as your guests watch, which is the part they film and remember. The matcha is organic first flush from Japan, poured over Alexandre Organic A2 milk or gum-free organic oat milk, with real fruit purées and never artificial syrups. It looks like your florals and photographs like your day.

Can the bar match our wedding design?
Yes. The cart can be fully custom-branded to your wedding, the cups can carry your monogram or a custom illustration of the two of you, and the drink selections are curated to your palette. Share your design early and we build to it.

What about guests who don't drink caffeine?
We pour non-caffeinated options made with organic fruit purées, so every guest has something worth holding. Our A2 whole milk is lactose-friendly, our organic oat milk is gum-free, and cream tops contain dairy, which we note clearly. Tell us your guest list and we shape the menu around it.
How does booking work?
A 50% deposit reserves your date, with the balance due 3 days before the wedding. Because we take a limited number of events each month, we recommend securing your date as early as possible, especially in peak season. All venues require electricity access. We serve Los Angeles and Orange County, coast, garden, and estate venues included.

Our configurations scale from intimate coastal weddings to large celebrations, with additional serve time and staffing available. Every drink is still whisked individually, never batched, no matter the count. Share your guest number and timeline and we will recommend the right setup.
Can you brand the cart and cups for our wedding?
Yes. The cart can be custom-branded to your wedding and the cups can carry a monogram or a custom illustration of the couple. The earlier you share your design, the more we can tailor.
Do you offer non-caffeinated or dairy-free options?
Yes. We pour non-caffeinated beverages made with organic fruit purées, and offer gum-free organic oat milk alongside our lactose-friendly A2 whole milk. Cream tops contain dairy and we label that clearly, so guests with preferences or sensitivities are looked after.
When should we book our wedding matcha bar?
As soon as your date is set. We take a limited number of events each month, and peak wedding season overlaps with peak brand-activation season, so summer and fall dates fill quickly. Reserving early secures your date and gives us the most time to design your custom cart and cups. A 50% deposit holds the date and the balance is due 3 days before the wedding.

Yes. We bring the bar to coast, garden, and estate venues throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, including oceanfront properties like Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades. Electricity access is required on site, and we handle transport, setup, and breakdown.
